Advanced Player Program!
Written by Web Master
Thursday, 16 May 2013 07:54
The first of our ‘Advanced Player Development Program’ sessions held Wednesday night was welcomed as a resounding success by participating players! The focus for the first session was complex ‘Positioning’, ‘Controlled Passing and receiving’ and ‘Movement off the ball’.
There will be only one coach available for the next session scheduled for 22nd May at 6pm and so the maximum number of players will be restricted to ten, so please do not turn up on the night expecting to take part as judging by Wednesday’s attendance, there will not be spare places. Please book a place on a first come basis as previously advised for each session.

the cost will be $10 per session collected on the night.
Players are not required to commit to more than one session but will not be able to participate in the session on the night if there are already ten players pre-registered for the session.
This is not a skills acquisition program and players attending should already possess skills at an advanced level.
We intend to offer skills acquisition courses in the near future when there is sufficient demand.

Junior Player Development

With an unprecedented ground breaking plan the JUFC Committee has put together a formula that envisions JUFC entering the Brisbane Premier League within the next five years.
We are pleased to announce that the first phase of this plan will start with full time professional coaching of our juniors next season starting with five weeks of pre-season training and continuing throughout the season. The benefits are twofold with Mums and dads still welcome if they wish to participate as managers and coaches for game-days but they are relieved of the pressure and responsibility of planning weekly coaching sessions. Instead the junior players will from the U6 age group be coached with a uniform set of 19 basic skills which will provide the foundation of their future development in the game.
Jimboomba United Football Club has long held a reputation for developing young players with some of our talented juniors being selected once again to play next year in the Football Brisbane Premier League Competition and the newly formed Australian Premier League.
The Committee have searched for a way to enable our home grown talented players to play for the club from age six up to seniors without needing to leave the club to play a good standard of football.
Our commitment is to provide all young players with an opportunity to learn to love the game of football and to provide an environment that breeds positive sporting and social experiences. With this development plan the Club also commits to providing for the skill development of all our young players (both competitive and social minded) giving them the opportunity to progress to their full potential and to play for the club at senior level via our social or competitive teams
While the concept is expensive the cost to our members will be limited to $50 per season per player to be trained by professional licenced coaches.
The JUFC President and Committee make themselves available to and welcome feedback from our members.
