Links to the Seniors
In 2017 the club will commence a program aimed at strengthening the ties between the Under 16 Girls team and senior Women’s team. It will provide opportunities for players to both meet and play with each other. This will be carried out in the form of mixed training sessions and through participation by senior players in the Under 16 training sessions. It is hoped the program will establish a relationship between the Under 16 players and senior Women and assist in transitioning the Under 16’s into senior football
On game day the teams will consist of 11 players (including a goalkeeper) on the field at any one time. Games are played with 2 x 40 minute halves. The Under 16 players play with a size 5 ball. They play on a full size field with full size goals.
Players are generally asked to arrive to the game at least 1 hour prior to kick off.
The coach will be responsible for the pre-game warm up.
The manager of the team will be responsible to get the team sheets to the refs 15 minutes before kick off.
As we are part of the Football Brisbane competition, games will generally be Sunday mornings either at home or away at another local club.
